Ingredients

- 2 lbs (900 g) potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup (100 g) sour cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (30 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30 g) butter for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sliced potatoes to the cream mixture and stir until well-coated.
- Layer half of the potato mixture in the greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese over the first layer.
- Add the remaining potato mixture and top with the remaining cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding chopped green onions or crispy bacon bits.
- This casserole can be prepared a day in advance. Just cover and refrigerate before baking.
