- 1 lb (450 g) boneless chicken breast, diced
- 1 cup (240 ml) plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 can (14 oz or 400 g) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, coriander, paprika, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and adjust seasoning as needed. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
- Serve with steamed basmati rice for a complete meal.
