- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 4 oz (115 g) smoked salmon, flaked
- 2 tablespoons capers, drained
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the flaked smoked salmon, capers, and dill. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the skillet until well coated with the creamy sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- Add some spinach or peas for extra vegetables and color.
