- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb or 450 g)
- 1 cup (100 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (100 g) breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Flatten the chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick.
- Season the flour with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Dip each chicken breast into the seasoned flour, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry each schnitzel for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer schnitzels to a baking sheet and bake in the oven for an additional 10 minutes to ensure cooked through.
- Serve with lemon wedges and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumbs.
- Serve with a fresh salad or mashed potatoes as a side.
