- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sour cream (240 g)
- 1 cup mayonnaise (240 g)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Once onions are caramelized, let them cool slightly, then add to the sour cream mixture and stir to combine.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve with chips, vegetables, or bread.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, add some diced jalapeños.
- This dip can be made a day in advance for deeper flavors.
