Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) pork tenderloin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup (240 ml) apple sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels and season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the pork on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- In a small bowl, mix together apple sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the seared pork.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with additional apple sauce on the side.
Notes
- For additional flavor, marinate the pork in the apple mixture for a few hours before cooking.
- Pair with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
