- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup (240 ml) chicken broth
- 1 packet (about 1 oz or 28 g) onion soup mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz or 300 g) cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups (300 g) cooked rice or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix chicken broth, onion soup mix, cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
- Shred the chicken in the slow cooker and stir to combine with the gravy.
- Serve over cooked rice or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a bay leaf to the slow cooker.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
