- 2 lbs (900 g) pork shoulder
- 1 cup (240 ml) barbecue sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5 g) paprika
- 1 tsp (5 g) salt
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 g) black pepper
- 8 slider buns
- Coleslaw (for topping)
Instructions
- Place the chopped onion at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the pork shoulder with the sauce mixture and place it in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
- Remove the pork, shred it with two forks, and mix it back with the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Serve on slider buns topped with coleslaw.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce to the barbecue mixture.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for later use.
